Destination Madison is seeking a part-time Airport Visitor Services Representative to help represent the Madison area by providing exceptional customer service to visitors at Dane County Regional Airport. The Airport Visitor Services Representative will inspire visitors to enjoy their stay in the Madison region by sharing knowledge of various attractions, events, and services available throughout Dane County. The successful candidate will bring strong organizational skills and the ability to engage visitors as a positive representative of our city and the organization’s brand. This position is expected to work approximately 4-8 hours per week, including up to one 4-hour Sunday shift per month. The desk is typically staffed from 10:00am-6:00pm most weekdays and 11:00am – 3:00pm on Sundays. Essential Functions & Responsibilities Actively engage with and assist visitors seeking information about their visit to the Madison area, using the Destination Madison website and other online resources as necessary Serve as the first point of contact to travelers requiring assistance with airport services or ground transportation Obtain, track, and enter visitor inquiry data Provide project support and administrative assistance as assigned Participate in Visitor Services staff meetings and educational opportunities Maintain comprehensive knowledge of Destination Madison partners, literature, and websites Desired Education, Skills & Abilities High school diploma or GED plus one year of customer service experience Familiarity with Madison area attractions, amenities and major events Proficient with internet browsers, Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook and Word, tablets Basic computer troubleshooting skills Self-motivated with an engaging and friendly personality Bilingual skills in English and Spanish are a plus Work Environment & Job Specifications The work environment and job specifications listed below are representative of those that must be met by an employee, with or without reasonable accommodation, to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
