- The Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud Architect will be responsible for defining and governing the end to end technical architecture across Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C and Salesforce Core platforms. They will take a lead role in solution design, architectural decision making, technical oversight, and ensuring scalable, secure, and high performance implementations.
- Provide architectural direction for configuration, customization, and extension of Salesforce Commerce Cloud B2C, ensuring alignment with platform best practices and enterprise standards.
- Must have deep expertise in API integrations (standard and custom), including designing integration patterns, data flows, and middleware orchestration.
- Must have experience guiding teams in the use of the LWC framework and establishing scalable component architecture.
- Must have strong knowledge of Apex, triggers, classes, and Salesforce Core development patterns, with the ability to define coding standards and review complex implementations.
- Work with product owners, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to define, validate, and translate functional and nonfunctional requirements into robust architectural blueprints.
- Oversee code documentation standards, enforce test coverage expectations, and ensure architectural compliance across all custom development.
- Collaborate with IT and cross platform architects to design and govern integrations across enterprise systems. Lead investigation, scoping, and architectural planning for epics and backlog items, ensuring solutions align with platform capabilities and long term scalability.
- Ensure development teams follow architectural guidelines, coding standards, technical design documents, and platform governance. Provide mentorship and technical leadership across all Salesforce workstreams.

Salesforce Commerce Cloud Architect
Role Overview:
The Salesforce B2C Commerce Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise-level eCommerce solutions using Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong architectural skills, and the ability to lead complex integrations across multiple systems while ensuring scalability, performance, and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture:
- Design end-to-end architecture for Salesforce B2C Commerce implementations.
- Define technical standards, best practices, and governance for eCommerce solutions.
- Integration & Customization:
- Architect integrations with ERP, OMS, CRM, Payment Gateways, and third-party systems.
- Oversee customizations using SFRA (Salesforce Reference Architecture) and ISML templates.
- Performance & Scalability:
- Ensure high availability, performance tuning, and scalability of the platform.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce quality standards.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with business analysts, developers, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams.
- Security & Compliance:
- Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with PCI DSS and GDPR.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong experience in Salesforce B2C Commerce Cloud (Demandware) architecture and development.
- Proficiency in SFRA , ISML, JavaScript, Node.js, and REST APIs.
- Hands-on experience with Data Modelling , Cartridges , and Business Manager Configurations .
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines , version control (Git), and deployment strategies.
- Familiarity with Headless Commerce , Composable Architecture , and Omnichannel strategies .
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce B2C Commerce Developer or Architect Certification.
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud , Service Cloud , or Order Management .
- Exposure to Cloud Hosting (AWS/Azure) and Microservices Architecture
