Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with strong expertise in Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM to support electronic design and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) initiatives. This role focuses on PCB/CCA design processes, ECAD tool administration, PLM integration, automation, and process optimization across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM, along with a solid understanding of PCB design, electronic product development, and scripting for engineering automation.
Key Responsibilities
Support PCB/CCA design activities throughout the electronic product development lifecycle.
Develop, maintain, and optimize Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM environments.
Analyze existing ECAD and PLM workflows and recommend process improvements.
Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, and PLM teams to ensure seamless design integration.
Configure and maintain engineering data, libraries, and design repositories.
Develop automation solutions using scripting languages such as Python and VBScript.
Support engineering database management, configuration management, and metadata administration.
Create and maintain library components within the Siemens tool suite.
Assist with PCB design, fabrication, assembly, and design release activities.
Troubleshoot tool-related issues and provide engineering support.
Document engineering processes, standards, and best practices.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
4+ years of hands-on experience with Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM (Required).
Experience with PCB/CCA design and the complete electronics design lifecycle.
Experience working with Electronic Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
Strong understanding of ECAD processes and engineering data management.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and VBScript.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience using the Siemens Xpedition API for automation.
Experience creating and maintaining library parts within the Siemens tool suite.
Hands-on experience with PCB fabrication, assembly, and rigid or rigid-flex CCA design.
Experience with additional EDA tools such as Zuken, Altium Designer, or Cadence Allegro.
Experience supporting multidisciplinary engineering environments.
Client Requirement (Must Have)
Minimum 4+ years of recent, hands-on experience with Siemens Xpedition and Siemens EDM is mandatory. Candidates without this experience will not be considered.
