Salary: $131,300 - 237,350 per year Requirements:

• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI (active TS/SCI preferred)
• DoD 8570 IAT II or higher certification before starting
• Juniper, Cisco, or Palo Alto certification prior to beginning
• Bachelors degree and 12+ years of relevant experience (additional military or relevant work experience may substitute for a degree)
• 3+ years of firewall experience within the DoD environment
• Proven ability to lead a Firewall Team in a similarly sized organization
• Experience implementing perimeter and internal firewalls in both physical and virtual environments
• Advanced expertise in managing standard baseline configurations across multiple firewalls
• Advanced skills in evaluating firewall rules for optimal security with minimal redundancy
• Background in researching and deploying new innovative firewall technologies

• Design, implement, and manage firewall solutions using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Juniper SRX, and Palo Alto
• Monitor firewall performance and security logs to detect and address potential threats
• Create and uphold network security policies and procedures
• Conduct system audits to ensure adherence to standards and regulations
• Collaborate with other IT, Security, and Network teams to integrate firewall solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and firewall issues efficiently while documenting them in ticketing systems
• Maintain and update firewall configurations, including security policies and firewall ACLs as approved by Change Management
• Serve as a People Leader for staff involved in the Firewall Task Area:
• - Act as the primary contact for all firewall-related tasks, operations, projects, and assessments
• - Ensure timely delivery of all tasks
• - Provide written reports and oral briefings to the Government Task Lead and PMO Team
• - Perform annual performance reviews with periodic check-ins
• - Validate and approve time charging for Leidos and vendor personnel
• - Offer coaching and mentoring to team members
• - Develop and implement continual service improvement technical strategies to enhance operational processes and achieve strategic project goals
