Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Physician & Advanced Practice Providers – Texas

Start Date: As soon as credentialing is complete

Location: Texas

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants. Overtime and holiday pay at 1.5x rate.

Schedule: Physicians: 5–6 shifts daily, all 9-hour shifts with variable start times including 6a–3p, 9a–6p, 12p–9p, 3p–12a, 6p–3a, 10p–7a. APPs: 4–6 shifts daily with variable hours. Flexible scheduling available.

Highlights:

• High-volume emergency department with 58,520 annual visits (approximately 160 visits per day)
• 46 treatment rooms plus 10 vertical areas and 10 hallway beds
• Level IV Trauma Center (pending state approval) with 22.2% admission rate and low 2% transfer rate
• Meditech EMR system in place
• Contract lengths from 3 months to 1 year available
• Travel expenses covered including flight, hotel, and rental car
• Locums, locums-to-perm, and permanent placement opportunities available

Requirements:

• Physicians: Board Certified in Emergency Medicine with ED experience required; ABEM certification preferred
• APPs: Emergency Medicine Fellowship training preferred with documented ED experience
• Active Texas medical license or IMLC eligibility (facility will license with active IMLC)
• Texas-based candidates required for locums-only positions; out-of-state candidates considered for locums-to-perm or permanent roles
