Location: Location: This position is onsite at a Consumers Energy Service Center on Michigan's southwest side. Potential assignments include Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon, Norton Shores, Kalamazoo, and surrounding areas. The selected candidate must live within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate. Relocation assistance is available for qualified candidates.
GENERAL SUMMARY OF JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
The Senior Environmental Analyst conducts environmental research and analysis by gathering, interpreting, and developing data and policies to assess current processes and ensure compliance with applicable environmental laws and regulations. This role serves as a field resource for environmental issues and questions arising in day-to-day operations across Distribution, Operations, Engineering, Transmission, Gas Compression and Storage, and Shared Services. The analyst presents findings and recommendations to management, supports implementation of approved process changes, and performs preventative controls to reduce and manage compliance risk. Analyses include feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses, trend/forecasting, compliance risk assessments, budget analysis, and regulatory reporting.
